Most clients moving to Nashville from another state generally can only visit that town once or twice before moving, if they are lucky. This can make it tricky to decide on what home and neighborhood they want to grow their roots. If this is you, here is a hack to help you virtually view a neighborhood from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot there. Give it a try, and let me know how it works for you!
To use Google Maps to check out a neighborhood virtually, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Copy the address you wish to search.
Step 2:
Paste the address into google maps. Click the square labeled "layers" in the bottom left corner of the screen to enter satalite mode. Next, click on the orange "Pegman" icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, then drag and drop it onto the map where you want to start your tour.
Step 3:
Now you can view the front of the home...
Step 4:
Take some time to walk around the neighborhood to explore.
Step 5:
If you want to find out how far the local grocery store is, you work, school, etc, all you need to do is enter those things in the direction option.
You can also use the "Explore" feature in Google Maps to find popular points of interest in the neighborhood, such as restaurants, shops, and parks. Use the "Satellite" view to see an aerial view of the neighborhood, including buildings and landmarks.
By following these steps, you can use Google Maps to virtually explore and get a feel for a neighborhood before deciding whether to visit in person.
I hope this helps you on your home search. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out! We are here to help! :)
