Germantown
Germantown coined its name from the influx of German immigrants in the mid-nineteenth century. In the 1970's it was named a Registered Historic District, and from there, a slow-but-steady pattern of growth began. With over 100 species of trees in the area, Germantown has been designated as a city Arboretum by the Nashville Tree Foundation.
Germantown's food culture is alive and well, and the neighborhood also beckons visitors with brick sidewalks and homes dating back to the 19th century. There is a vast history worth diving into and a community of neighbors who take pride in ownership and pride in their neighborhood.
